Skyler (Skye) Sarpong is an artist and student from Oakland, California. He studies at the Athenian School in Danville, California. In his 2D visual work and photography he likes to explore themes of visual perception as well as identity. He also enjoys working with textiles to create functional artwork in the form of upcycled clothing. His work has been exhibited at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in San Francisco, CA and at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Valencia, CA.
